Freedom of Speech posts are called “fossies” and everyone is encouraged to start their own fossie!
Please bear in mind that any illegal activities that you commit or plan to commit that are posted on this website may be shared with any and all appropriate authorities if said authorities legally request this information. This website does not condone, encourage, nor support illegal activities.
Freedom of Speech does not include all types of speech. According to freedomforuminstitute.org:
“Although different scholars view unprotected speech in different ways, there are basically nine categories:
- Obscenity
- Fighting words
- Defamation (including libel and slander)
- Child pornography
- Perjury
- Blackmail
- Incitement to imminent lawless action
- True threats
- Solicitations to commit crimes
Some experts also would add treason, if committed verbally, to that list. Plagiarism of copyrighted material is also not protected.”
This list may or may not be all inclusive and you are highly encouraged to consult your local, state, and federal laws concerning what types of speech that are unprotected. If you do not want what you post to possibly be used as evidence against you, then do not post anything that is illegal.
If you are offended by the language here, please speak up. While we don’t encourage offensive language, we will neither censor it nor ban it. Please only talk about the subjects presented in the fossies and refrain from attacking the person posting their comments and ideas.
If you only post links to other sites, spam, advertising, or any other non Freedom of Speech! related posts, or talk about subjects not related to the post you are replying to, then your comment will be removed. However, feel free to start another fossie for the subject you wish to talk about.
As a guideline for posting a fossie, please present the issue you wish to discuss along with one or more solutions to the problem as you see it. Ranting about anything is not conducive to solving problems.
